I moved from the sunshine of Florida to the snow of Maine so I bought an SUV figuring it would be better than a car in the snow. I was wrong and wound up skidding into a snow bank and getting stuck there for nearly 3 hours. The tow truck guy told me to get rid of the baloney skins and buy some Blizzaks. I figured he knew about tires and snow so I bought the Blizzak DM V1s. I am so pleased that I listened to him. I can drive on packed snow like it was a dry road and plow through fresh snow like it was nothing. These are the best tires ever!
Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 Tire Reviews
I had the Blizzak WS 60 tires installed on my Caddy CTS because I was disappointed with the performance of the Goodyear Eagles that were on it, even though the Eagles were brand new. You would not believe the difference. The Blizzaks gripped the road like there was no tomorrow. They cut right through the snow without and slipping and sliding. Driving on ice is no different than driving on a dry road. I don't know how Bridgestone came up with these winter tires but they are really the best by far. I feel much safer while driving my CTS in the winter now.
Goodyear Ultra Grip Tire Reviews
For my mini van, I decided to stop all the sliding and bought Goodyear Ultra Grip tires. They are the best when it comes to the snowy areas outside my suburb. They ride very well and you will take your car anywhere you want, regardless of the snow and ice levels. Your car will not skid while taking corners. The noise from the Ultra Grip tires is something that you will notice especially as they get older or if your car is not well insulated. I was finally able to change lanes, which I had never dared to do on a slippery snowy day.
